Glenn Davis asked some of the players competing in the Free Kick Masters 2008 event.  Here are a few select questions from his interview with Robert Pires...

Glenn Davis: Are you excited to show off your soccer talents to the American public?

Robert Pires: Yes because I like a lot united states and I am happy to introduce my sport 
 

Davis: How serious will the players be in trying to win this freekick competition?

Pires: Yes because when I saw the list of the players I know they will play the game for real

 

Davis: What was your most memorable free kick goal?

Pires: Arsenal Liverpool 2005-06

 


Davis:  What do you think an event like this can do for the sport of soccer in the United States?  Can it illustrate the beautiful game?

Pires: I hope American people will discover and enjoy soccer with this kind of events


 

Davis: How did you become so proficient at taking free kicks? Did you practice as a youth?  Do you have a story training as a young boy in your home country?

Pires: Free kick it’s work ,work and work and concentration too
